Remember, the only choice is optimism, the pessimists never get it right.
Last week saw the overall analysis of the 3rd quarter, 2021 and a few highlights include that the earnings reports remained impressive and above analysist projections. Inflation continues to cause headlines and headaches. Every major index is at or near all time highs and small company stocks seem to indicate economic growth for 2022. And, of course, the so-called infrastructure bill was passed by the House of Representatives and should be signed into law by the president this week.
Last week, I reported that those of us that receive Social Security payments will get a 5.9% increase in the monthly payout. The bad news is that Medicare premiums are also going to get a healthy bump, especially for those retirees in higher income brackets. The attached article gives a good breakdown of the different charges and who they impact.
My wife's favorite meal of the year is the Thanksgiving Day meal, and she does a really good job, especially on the turkey and the dressing. As we all know, sweet potatoes is a mainstay menu item for the day. When I found the attached article about some different ways to prepare sweet potatoes, I clicked on it and was humorously entertained by the 5-minute video of a dietitian's analysis of the Thanksgiving Day meal. Please take the time as it is entertaining and educational. The meal actually has some good nutritional values and sweet potatoes lead the way.
Once again, as we head the end of the year, should you have any questions or wish to meet with or talk with me, please don't hesitate to email, or call. There may be some issues that will need to be completed before the end of 2021. I will be traveling some but will still be able either by appointment, email or phone.
